A lovely Maine woods loop trail in the interior of the St. George peninsula along the upper Jones Brook.
Trail Description
The Jones Brook area includes three connected trails: The Town Forest Trail, the Jones Brook Trail and the Fort Point Trail.
This 0.7 mile loop trail traverses along the banks of upper Jones Brook and travels through mature soft and mixed wood stands offering views of a marsh pond with beaver lodges. The terrain is moderately level, providing a good hike for all abilities.

Directions and Parking
The Jones Brook trail parking is accessed from Kinney Woods Road, 0.7 miles east of its intersection with Route 131, which is located approximately 4.5 miles south from the intersection of Route 1 and 131 in Thomaston and 5.5 miles north from the intersection of Route 131 and Watts Avenue in Tenants Harbor.

Notes
The Town Forest Trail is maintained by volunteer efforts. The trail is open, except for hunting season, from sunrise to sunset. The trail is closed from October 15th to January 1st at the landowners request due the hunting season.
