The Parks an Recreation Department is more than youth sports. Senior lunch happens once a month, and local seniors get together for camaraderie and (this month at least!) and American chop suey. The seniors also participate in other activities, like sunset boat cruises and bus trips. There's always room, so you're welcome to join in the fun.

Did you know that "managing invasive pests requires
ongoing work, year after year. And for the Browntail Moth, this time of year is a great time to work on limiting its spread across the state. That’s because it’s easy to spot their winter nests in the higher parts of tree branches."
The St. George Conservation Commission is VERY active. This info on browntail moth came from their most recent newsletter article. To find out more, see the town's website: https://www.stgeorgemaine.com/page/conservation-commission

While many look for tulips in the garden, or listen for the call of the American Woodcock, here at the town office we have our own favorite sign of spring.
Town Roads are now posted for heavy loads. Please contact Town Manager, Brandon Leppanen, with any questions or concerns.

Earlier today we posted we would be opening late on Wednesday (02/26) because of a staff meeting. Our meeting has been rescheduled, and the Town Office will be open our regular 8am-4pm hours tomorrow.

Someone popped into the town office today looking for a Maine boating laws handbook. We don't have any here, but the state has a handy pamphlet/guide available for downloading or printing.
