As we reported back on December 1st, the state had an issue with the printing of boat registration stickers, and the stickers were delayed until the end of December. Then in January we checked again, and at that point IF&W wasn't sure when the stickers would arrive. We contacted them last week and were told that maybe mid-February we would see the stickers.
We had some good news yesterday: registration stickers for federally documented boats have arrived. The stickers for state registered boats still aren't here yet. BUT, if your boat is federally documented, and you'd like to pay your excise tax, the town office is now accepting those payments.
If your boat is state registered, you can use the online service (if you want), and the state will mail you the stickers when they become available. And of course, once they're available at the town office we will let you know.
