The St. George Town Office is closed today in observance of Patriots' Day. Tomorrow morning (Tuesday) there's a staff meeting, and the town office will be opening late (at 9:30am). The transfer station is closed today (like it is every Monday) and will reopen tomorrow, Tuesday 04/21, at 8am.
Pictured are the graves of Paul Revere and William Dawes, who road to warn the colonist militia of the arrival of the British. That ride occurred on April 18th, the day before the Battles of Lexington and Concord--which are remembered in Maine and Massachusetts on Patriots' Day.
