Town Reports - The 2016 Town Reports have arrived!!  Stop by the town office to pick one up or you will be able to pick one up at either the Tenants Harbor General Store or the Port Clyde General Store.  (posted 4/18)

 

Life on the Edge: Shorebirds & Waders - April 27 at 7:00 pm

Three experts from Inland Fisheries & Wildlife will describe the best type of feeding and resting places for birds who use our inlets and estuaries before their hazardous migrations to Central and South America.  Hazards include: weather, skyscrapers, communication towers, night lighting, predators, airports, and loss of emergency resting sites.  But we can be supportive to these fragile flyers.  Speakers include Lindsay Tudor, an expert on shorebirds, and Danielle D'Auria whose focus is waders, marsh birds, and some rare species.  Amanda Shearin will discuss IFS maps, online Habitat Viewer, Maine's Wildlife Action Plan, and other available materials.  Sponsored by the Conservation Commission and the Friends of St. George.  Refreshments provided.  (posted 4/29)

 

Shred Event

The Solid Waste & Recycling Committee is sponsoring a shredding event for all town residents, to be held on Saturday, April 29th from 10:00am to 2:00pm at the St. George School.  Bring documents you wish to dispose of in a secure manner.  A car full of material is $5.00 and a full pick-up is $10.00.  (posted 4/5)

New Transfer Station Fees effective Jan 1st

Starting January 1, 2017, there will be some changes to the disposal fees at the transfer station.  A copy of the current and proposed fees may be seen here. (posted 12/28)
